i used to make mixtapes (yes, the one with cassette tapes, and yes, i had to record songs off the radio sometimes and it is a weird skill to have now.) then i moved on to mix-cds, and now i make lots and lots of playlists still.

i am obsessed with the jpop idol group, arashi, who are disbanding this year (2026). i used to run a blog where i watch/rewatch their variety shows and share music news.

I've been attempting to catalog my Arashi goods ever since I joined the fandom - first it was a list on LJ, then a separate LJ, with photos. Then I started a folder on Pinterest. I even did a Tumblr at one point, although that turned out to be a dumping ground for random scans and screencaps. In the end, I decided on creating this site for my cataloging purposes.

And then a couple of years ago I found Sakura Sake (now defunct), which is an amazing index (and did more than I plan for my own site) but it's no longer updated. So I guess it made me want to update on the more recent items as well as catalogue my own goods.

As someone who loves looking for older goods in secondhand shops, I thought that maybe instead of a catalog of just my things, I should make this a proper archive. Right now most of the items posted here are my own, with a few of my friends' goods here and there. I'm always looking to make the archive more complete, so if you can help in any way, do contact me (I'm @marinmonsterrr on IG.)
