blythe monogatari
i collected Blythe dolls from around 2005 to 2015. i still love them a lot now, but as far as special interests go, i guess they're a bit in the back burner these days.

i may or may not move more of my old wordpress content here, but until then, you can check it out here if you want :)

doris ghost

doris is a Tea For Two Encore, and my first Blythe doll. honestly, i wasn't keen on her much-too-long hair back then, but she was the only doll available within my budget and i loved her clothes and accessories. i thought i would end up cutting her hair, but i ended up loving her classic look too much to change her once i've spent more time with her.

anna finch

anna is a Birdie Blue, that i got at junie moon in daikanyama when i was studying in tokyo in april 2007. -

asami ame

asami is a Rainy Day Parade, and the first (and only) doll i got on release day! i got her from junie moon in daikanyama while i was studying in tokyo, too. in fact, most of my dolls are from that time ^^;

shirley finch

shirley is a V-Smash that i got in junie moon (daikanyama) in july 2007. i went to junie moon to get a Tailor Gibson, but they were out of stock, and i was going to leave empty handed when i saw that they had exactly one V-Smash left. since at the time i always wanted a V-Smash, i jumped at the chance to adopt her.

francesca never

frankie, as she prefers to be called, is a Save the Animals that i got from Dollz Inc. (singapore) in october 2007. i was there visiting my niece, and my eldest brother bought her for me.

fiona crown

fiona is a Mod Molly and if i were to have a favourite, she would probably be mine. she's named after fiona perks from diana wynne jones' fire and hemlock, which is one of my favourite books ever. my eldest brother helped me get her from Dollz Inc. (singapore) in december 2007.

emmaline rose

emma is a Honey Bunny Once More, which is one of my wishlist dolls. i adopted her for a decent price off ebay, without her clothes and accessories.

chantal coccinelle

chantal is a Natasha Moore, which i adopted in 2008, in a group-buy with some friends.

aislinn swan

aislinn is a Heart of Montmartre, adopted in april 2008 although i believe i picked her up closer to may or june. she's a limited edition, so i had to enter a junie moon lottery via dollz inc. to adopt her, and i surprisingly got it.

andi raven

andi is a Bow Wow Trad, that i adopted in august 2008. i believe i got her from a local doll shop (that no longer exists), but i can't remember for sure.

dorothy milk

dorothy is a Miss Sally Rice that i adopted in late 2008. while i originally got into blythe dolls because of all the customisations i see people do, after adopting my girls i realised that maybe adopting dolls that i already love the look of was not the best idea, because i didn't want to change them up at all. so i decided to just focus on getting dolls that look closer to what i want/love, and dorothy is one of them!

lisa clover

lisa is a Cloud Nine Bowl, released and adopted in september 2007 from Junie Moon (Daikanyama) but because i had already returned to kuala lumpur by the time she was released, my friend Kishiko picked her up and held on to her for years. i didn't return to japan until 2010, and that's when i finally got to meet her. she's named after lisa loeb!

madison blue

maddy is a Sunshine Holiday, adopted sometime in 2009 as a completely impulse decision while window shopping with a doll-collector friend.

ursula marvel

ursula is a Mandy Cotton Candy adopted in 2014. at this point i had stopped collecting dolls and had lost touch with most of my doll-collector friends, but i had an account with milestone and they had her preorder up and i could not resist, because she's so perfect. she's named after ursula le guin, of course.

ADOPTED OUT - lucille heart

lucy is a Piccadilly Dolly Encore and the second blythe doll i ever adopted, and honestly still one of my favourites. one of my d&d friends is a crafter who makes doll clothes and dioramas, and loves the look of blythe dolls, although she only wanted one doll, rather than to collect. i gave lucy up for adoption because i know she'll love lucy and give her a lot more attention than i could.

ADOPTED OUT - eden heart

eden is a Simply Mango that i got from a local toy store that has since closed down. i do adore her, but again, i have a different friend who also loves crafting and making things, and always wanted a blythe, so i gave eden up for her to adopt and make lots of clothes for.

'LOST' - kailani moon

kai is a Primadolly Ebony and my third blythe, and unlike lucille and eden, i did not give her up for adoption. she was in the care of a friend-of-a-friend, and due to a lot of unfortunate circumstances, every time we planned to meet up for him to pass her back to me fell through. then time-blindness happened, and before i knew it years have passed and we have completely lost touch, so i have no idea how to get ahold of him now.
