zines by mari
there probably won't be any pdfs up (probably) because my zines are made by hand, and printed on paper.

mini-zines
i started making mini zines sometime during the pandemic, i think? or maybe right before. i began making more and more, mostly zines that i make very few copies for and don't keep the master copy of, that i passed to colleagues or friends. then i realized how i hadn't made a 'regular' (half-sized, to me) zine in awhile, and in 2022 decided to challenge myself to make a mini-zine a month.
ISSUES

super fairy animal
i still consider
superfairyanimal (sfa) my 'main' zine, although i haven't released any new issues in years. this is mostly a half-sized zine, although i have experimented with doing quarter-sized issues before. i started it sometime in college, when i felt like i've outgrown
celestial night, my first zine.
ISSUES

mari no tabi
this was supposed to be a one-off, about the traveling i did as an arashian. then i did a london issue, and another japan issue, and... it became a sporadic zine where i just collect and print the contents of my journal during these travels.
ISSUES

tapir post
a year-long project culminating in five issues,
tapir post collects reviews, opinions, and interviews relating to children's and young adult fiction.
ISSUES

celestial night
my first zine, started when i was about 14-15? i have made personal magazines before, all handwritten, with my best friend, as a child, but i didn't even know what zines were back then. i didn't know until i discovered francesca lia block's short story collection,
girl goddess #9, when i was about 13-14. that book changed my life. and it made me start this zine.
ISSUES

others
one-off zines, zines that were intended to be one-offs (but i/we made a second issue), and zines that were intended to be serialized (but got stuck at a single issue)
